What an interesting pet! I have anaphylaxis to crustaceans though so I can die from touching them, I don't think I'll offer to babysit!!

Same with me and crayfish - I'm from Tassie and used to work in a fishing village, it was quite a painful experience!! They are gorgeous coloured little critters though - at least they can take solace in the fact I would NEVER want to eat them! Hahahaha

He is amazing, looks like you have spray painted him that colour.
How much would one of those fellas cost, and are they native to Australia.
They are put together like our yabbies in QLD, but never seen anything that colour before.
Are you planning on breeding them.

Hi Noel, I'm from Brisbane and bought them from my local pet store...That size your probably looking at about $50-$60 and can grow aroung 30-40cm....I have seen them in the wild but have only caught them at around 15com long
