If you live in Longreach, try him on some goat meat.
My cousin Glen Green is in Longreach, on the Muttaburra road.
He feeds his dogs mainly on goat, boned out.

Advance is a lot more palatable than Hill's - well, so my dogs tell me! Try mixing it through with fresh meat...

Use cheese as a treat to get him to do things. It normally works every time.
i have to agree with merissa that hills is not the most palatable. i use royal canin and it has a money back guarnetee if he doesn't eat it.
