Last weekend we took Ajax and Dakota on their first camping trip up to Lake Glenmaggie.

Fun was had by all, along with a reality check on the affects the drought is causing.

AJAX AND DAKOTA RUNNING THRU WHERE THE WATER ONCE WAS

TREE STUMPS THAT WAS ONCE DEEP UNDER WATER

STRAIGHT INTO THE WATER FOR BOTH OF THEM WITHOUT THINKING TWICE

'COME ON DAKOTA WE HAVE TO GO BACK NOW TO START THE CAMP FIRE AND HAVE DINNER'

IN THE FAR DISTANCE YOU CAN SEE THE CAMPING GROUND, THIS IS WHERE THE WATER EDGE ONCE WAS

DAKOTA'S NEW FOUND FRIEND

ON THE LESH AFTER STEALING THE CRICKET BALL ONE TO MANY TIMES AND FAILING TO RETURN IT

DAKOTA SOUND ASLEEP ON THE DRIVE HOME

Hi Tammy
You wouldnt believe it but you were literally 10 minutes from our house.
That is where we take our dogs for a run and a swim in the warmer weather.
Isnt it a small world. The next time you are up this way we will have to get together with all the dogs. I hope you had a good weekend.

Doug and Leigh

Here are some pics we have taken at the lake.
Our son Tom is playing where the water should be about 20 meters deep and the other pic is of Pharaoh in August last year.
You should see the lake when it is full its a mecca of boats and water skiers.

Youd reckon the council would dig out the stumps now while they can get to them.

Hi Doug and Leigh,

Next time it's a must.

Gees it doesn't look like Victoria it looks like the Desert! it's a wonder theres still any water there at all.
I know so many people on large scale propertys who it is affecting but it really shows up the magnitude of it with pics like that Sad
