No I spent weeks reading Greek Mythology tossing up between the names, Ajax, Achilles, Brutus, Heracles and Maximus. I wanted to give him a name with meaning. Big and Strong.

Hence why I am banging my head against the wall to come up with a breeders name Very Happy

So no doubt my first litter of pups will be named after greek gods and warriors. Laughing

Poor Ajax Sad LOL Laughing

Actually the cleaning product was named after the Greek warrior as well. Strong and powerful.

Just some useless info for you all.

Gee I think I spend why to much time on the meaning of my pets names. What am I going to be like when I have a human child. Laughing

Don't worry - I am the same. Hubby picks the names ( with majority of the kids too) - then I do as much research as possible to make sure we aren't calling our kids/pets something disgusting.

Friends of ours called their son Brendan. Afterwards they looked up the meaning and in the book they had it meant "smelly hair". YUCK! She was horrified. With a little more research we found out that it is actually Irish/Gaelic/Celtic mix and means "Prince". She was much happier with that definition.

Hi Deone and welcome to the board. Well maximus is just so cute in his batman outfit , i love it !
The Aussie bug is very hard to contain it just seems to spread to everyone so easy.
He is a great looking dog and i am sure you and the family will get lots of joy from him.

Very cute puppy - love that shirt. Saw one yesterday with "Puppy Princess" written on it....was tempted!

What does the naming thing say for us - we named Chivas after a favourite drop - though I notice a few pups on the site follow that theme...
