Toffee only has one sister, and she is going to Jeannette Hodgetts @ Tazman, in a puppy exchange.

We are trying to get a bigger collection of liver nosed pups of good type.
We had them in the breeding years ago, but never really worried about it, but now it has added something interesting to the breeding, and we will give it ago in a more serious manner.

Ok stupid question of the day but is a liver nosed pup/dog literally just the nose colour or is there other differences???

The liver nose comes about from a lack of black pigment in the skin.
Surprisingly enough in bulldogs it seems to be associated with more colours than just red.
Dogue De Bordeauxs, Hungarian Vizlas, and Egyptian pharaoh hounds all have a liver/red coloured nose, and it is the same colour as their body coat.
Sicilian hounds have a liver/red nose as well, but they can also be red and white pied. The only other dogs that I personally know of that are of a liver or red brindle with the liver coloured nose, are staffies and Neos, and some aussie bulldogs , as well as some Renaisance bulldogs.
So having the Brindle with the liver pigment is obviously a lot rarer.

Bullarabs also have liver noses in their make up. ( liver Arabs) are a select type amongst this breed. Most of the liver pigment or lack of black pigment in the bullarab dog, comes from the pointer breeds. Some greyhounds can have the liver pigment as well. but very few.
I mention this, because Bullarabs are a mix of Pointer, Greyhound and Bullterrier.

Just to add to the curiosity, I have also seen chihuahuas with chocolate and liver coloured noses. So it is not a rare thing in the dog world, and this is why I could never understand why the British Bulldog breeders canned the whole liver pigment thing.
